Status Updates

My heart goes out to the entire community at this time. Covid-19 is hitting our henna community particularly hard. Most of us are self-employed and have no sick leave or any other way to get paid if we can’t work. Events and festivals that we depend on to get us through the lean henna months have been cancelled or postponed. It’s a very scary time.

Though all my henna gigs have been cancelled, I am incredibly lucky to be able to still run Beachcombers during this difficult time. Beachcombers is just me and Asad. We are in our own building, so we aren’t sharing space with anyone, and there is very little risk to us or to others. We are taking extra disinfecting precautions, but these aren’t causing delays in shipping.


If You Need Help:

If you are in need, contact the United Way. Many local chapters of the United Way specifically offer help to folks like us. If you are in a position to donate, they are an excellent choice. Dial 211 to be connected to a United Way representative in your local area.


Henna Product Pickup

We are offering a no-contact pickup! There are two ways to arrange a no-contact order pick up:

Online Orders

  1. Place your order online.
    Use the promo code PICKUP during checkout to zero out shipping. 
  2. Schedule a time for us to place your order in the lockbox.
    Since we are not here 24/7, we need time to put your order together and place it in our secure outdoor lockbox. Our online scheduler lets you see the next available time we can process your order. 
  3. Pick up your order in our outdoor lockbox.
    You’ll be given a personal code via email after you schedule online. Input the code on the lockbox and take the box labeled with your name.

Phone Orders

  1. Call in your order at 407-236-7878.
    We will take your order over the phone, answer your questions, take payment, and arrange a time for pick-up. In addition to credit cards, we accept CashApp or Venmo on phone calls. 
  2. Pick up your order in our outdoor lockbox.
    You’ll be given a personal code via email after you schedule online. Input the code on the lockbox and take the box labeled with your name.

NOTE About Calling: If you don’t get us when you call, leave your name and number so we can call you back. Calls received after hours will be returned the next business day.

Online Scheduling: Our online scheduler lets you see the next available time we can process your order.

Local and Non-Local Shipping:

We are continuing to work every day, and shipping is happening as normal.

If you are local, standard shipping is normally only 1-2 days with free shipping on orders over $50. If you are outside of Florida in the USA free shipping is available for orders over $100.

  • We are still shipping Monday through Friday with no delays.
  • Our post office stats are showing about a half-day delay in average shipping times for domestic orders. This means our domestic time estimates during checkout are still accurate, but this can change at any time.
  • International shipping varies by country. We are seeing very long erratic delays. If you are ordering internationally, you should assume potentially long delays, but we have no way to estimate this.

Henna Application Appointments:

We are not currently offering henna application or in-person pickups due to the Covid-19 emergency. We are not sure when we will reopen this service and are so very sorry for any inconvenience.

This decision was not taken lightly. We have an at-risk person in our household and even with precautions we feel the potential risk is too great.
