Henna Technique Workshops
We offer a range of shorter hour and a half Henna Lab-Style workshops throughout the year. These classes are focused on one particular subject and do not cover basic henna information. Prices vary depending on the class but are generally only $20-30.

Below are descriptions of some of our henna lab classes.

Henna Anatomy Lab: 
Henna Level: All Levels
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first.
Basic henna information will NOT be taught.

The Gross Anatomy of henna!  Learn the principles of henna design fundamentals to create designs that are professional quality. These design principles relate to every style of henna, will enhance your understanding of bringing a full henna design to life, and build a foundation for strong henna stylization. These are the principles that allow you to develop your own henna style as an individual artist.

Two Tone & Shading Henna Lab: 
Henna Level: All Levels
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first. Basic henna information will NOT be taught. 

This class teaches various two tone and shading techniques in henna design. We will physically practice techniques and explore ways to add depth and texture to a henna design. 

Mandala Henna Design Lab: 
Henna Level: All Levels
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first. Basic henna information will NOT be taught. 

Learn multiple ways to create gorgeous symmetrical mandalas in henna. You will practice hennaing mandalas and you will create your own. 

Negative Space Design Lab: 
Henna Level: All Levels
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first.
Basic henna information will NOT be taught.

This class focuses on how to use negative space within a henna design (arguably the most important part of henna anatomy). You will learn to use negative space in creative ways and to consider the use of negative space in every henna tattoo you do. This lab focuses on expanding your henna vocabulary. 
 

Henna Line Quality Lab: 
Henna Level:
Beginner to Moderate
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first.
Basic henna information will NOT be taught. This workshop is focused on line quality only.
 
In this hands-on technique henna class, you will learn to lay down the perfect henna line. Learn how to drape henna and draw henna. We will drill, drill, drill and you will be prepared for your own at-home henna practice.

Henna Fillers Lab: 
Henna Level: All Levels
*If you are a beginner, you should take the Simply Henna 101 Workshop first.
Basic henna information will NOT be taught.

Learn to utilize fillers in different ways including how and when to use filler techniques. Tips and tricks to create neat and clean looking fillers in both traditional and non-traditional henna designs.

Join us for 2 days and 8 workshops of intense henna instruction with a focus on bridal henna.

Neeta Sharma, one of the world's premier bridal henna artists will be teaching FIVE classes! Ena Rodriquez, Asad Bangash, and Jody Rogers will also be teaching at Henna U.

Registration includes all 8 classes (capped at only 14 people), weekend supplies and workbooks, plus dinner Saturday night, and lunch Sunday.

Henna U 2014: Bridal Bootcamp is a semi-advanced course. We are offering The Henna U Primer the evening before Henna U, at an additional fee, for beginning henna artists so beginners can be comfortable at Henna U 2014: Bridal Bootcamp.
